WMVS Children in Care Foundation aims to improve educational outcomes for care experienced children by working with our partners and commissioning training to ensure that the educational needs of looked after and previously looked after children are better understood across the region.
We want to provide high quality workforce training for our education providers, social care colleagues, governors and other partners supporting the education of our children.
We want to promote evidenced based research on interventions that make a positive impact on the attainment and progress of care experienced children and develop our own evidence of what works for our children. We want to offer inspirational educational opportunities for our care experienced children.
To explore some of the work that we have already done look at the inspirational sessions for Key Stage 4 and 5 with the amazing Jaz Ampaw-Farr on WMVSTV youtube channel and watch this space to find out about our research with Education Endowment Foundation on education interventions that works for children with a social worker.
